About Us

Lotus Speech is an volunteer run organization formed with the general intention of assisting Changling Rinpoche spread the Buddhist Dharma across Australia.

Lotus Speech Australia (Vic) Inc was incorporated in 2006 in the state of Victoria as a not for profit organisation (No. A0049300H, ABN 77 121 520 615). Its spiritual director is Changling Rinpoche and its organizational stucture follows that of model not for proffit organizations.

Our goals are:

• To provide an environment conducive for Buddhist philosophical study, meditative practice and contemplation, for members and wider society.

• To provide ongoing opportunity for the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism, particularly as taught within Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche’s lineage, the Northern Treasures lineages of the Nyingma School as well as the Rechung lineage of the Kagyu School. There is a strong Dzogchen influence in the first two of these lineages.

• To support the development of compassion, service and concern for others, in both our own membership and wider society.

• To collect, preserve, translate and produce, texts of the the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism.
